Analyzing Early Admissions Data Results
MIT’s Class of 2029 Early Admissions Statistics
This year, 721 students were offered early admission to MIT out of 12,053 early applications for the Class of 2029, resulting in an acceptance rate of approximately 6%.
The 7,486 applicants who were not admitted early have another opportunity for acceptance through a deferral to the Regular Action pool. With an undergraduate enrollment of just over 4,500, MIT remains a top choice for some of the most outstanding students globally.
Emory University Class of 2029 Early Decision I
Emory University’s Early Decision I round brought clarity to 995 high school students, who were accepted out of a pool of 3,311 applicants for the Class of 2029.

The Early Decision I acceptance rate stood at 32%, while the Early Decision II round saw acceptance rates of 12% for Emory College of Arts and Sciences and 11% for Oxford College.

Although Penn did not release the Early Decision acceptance rate or detailed admissions statistics, they however reported an increase in Early Decision applications, exceeding 9,500 this year compared to over 8,500 last year.
Brown University's Early Decision Results for Class 2029

College Admission Insights: Last Cycle Results and Historical Data
NYU’s Class of 2028 Early Decision Surge
While New York University has yet to release this year’s results, NYU’s early decision cycle for the Class of 2028 broke records with over 22,000 applicants. This historic interest underscores NYU’s global appeal as a leading urban research university.
Across all campuses, the university experienced a 56% increase in early decision applications over the past five years. The New York campus remains one of the most competitive, admitting only 8% of applicants from a total pool of 118,000 applications. Within some of its undergraduate colleges, admission rates dropped below 5%, further emphasizing NYU’s popularity and exclusivity.
Tufts University Class of 2028 Data
Tufts University offered admission to 3,957 students for its Class of 2028, resulting in an acceptance rate of 11.49%. This was out of more than 34,400 applications, reflecting a 1% increase from the previous year. Tuft's Class of 2028 demonstrates an unprecedented level of selectivity, with 92% of admitted students ranking in the top 10% of their high school class. Additionally, 60% of accepted students submitted standardized test scores, underscoring their strong academic achievements.
Northeastern University’s Admissions
Northeastern University’s admissions cycle for the Class of 2028 saw a record 98,373 applications. Of these, 56,000 were Early Action applicants, with 2,640 students accepted for a rate of 5%. In the Early Decision II round, Northeastern accepted 600 students out of a pool of 6,000, resulting in a 20% acceptance rate. These numbers underscore Northeastern’s continued rise in popularity and competitiveness as a leading institution for higher education.
Stanford’s Early Action Strategy: Historical Data
Stanford keeps its Early Action admissions data private, with the last available figures from the Class of 2021 showing a 9.24% admission rate, compared to 3.67% for Regular Decision.
With limited data on Stanford's Early Action, applicants should weigh their options carefully. If Stanford is your top choice, Early Action can be strategic, but its competitive process is reflected in its practice of deferring only a small percentage of Restrictive Early Action applications to the Regular Decision pool.
The competitiveness of these institutions highlights the importance of strategic planning, compelling applications, and unwavering perseverance. With the regular decision season approaching, we are eager to continue helping our students reach new heights and unlock their potential.
The impressive achievements of our 7EDU students reflect not only their hard work and determination but also the value of tailored guidance in navigating the complex college admissions process.
