Volunteer Abroad Costa Rica 2027 Spring
Register by November 15, receive a $100 early-bird discount!
Spend Spring Break 2027 on the wild Pacific beaches of Costa Rica — protecting endangered sea turtles alongside world-class scientists, exploring mangrove estuaries, and living the Pura Vida culture.
This is no ordinary trip. Students work hands-on with renowned sea turtle scientist Dr. James Spotila of The Leatherback Trust and his team of researchers in Costa Rica. You'll step into the boots of a real field scientist — helping protect nesting beaches, nests, and hatchlings, collecting data, and discovering how conservation science saves endangered species.
Between field sessions, guided estuary tours take you deep into mangrove forests full of tropical wildlife, while cultural activities bring you close to Costa Rican life — its food, language, music, and famously warm Pura Vida spirit.
